Meghan Markle Wears Diana’s Diamond Bracelet

Meghan Markle paid tribute to her late mother-in-law by wearing Princess Diana’s diamond tennis bracelet at a recent red carpet event.

The Duchess of Sussex sported the Cartier piece when she attended the Salute to Freedom Gala to honour veterans ahead of Remembrance Day.

The 40-year-old chose the simple but beautiful bracelet to complement her glamorous red Carolina Herrera dress at the event, which was held at the Intrepid Museum in New York City earlier this week.

According to the Metro, it is thought her jewellery together with her scarlet red heels cost more than £32,000.

It isn’t the first time the former Suits star has chosen the elegant bracelet, as she also wore it during the now infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey in March.

A spokesperson for the actress told the Today show at the time of the broadcast: “They wanted to wear the bracelet to have [Harry’s] mother there with them during the interview,”

She also wore it when the couple attended a state dinner in Fiji and a reception in Tonga during their 2018 tour.

According to Page Six, Markle has two diamonds from the Cartier bracelet on her at all times, as they were incorporated into her engagement ring.

Prince Harry revealed the stones lie on either side of a jewel from Botswana, with the intention to “make sure that she’s [Princess Diana] with us on this – on this crazy journey together”.
